RESPONSIBLE ECO-INTERIORITY: AN OPENING TO THE WEALTH OF THE WORLD/L’ÉCO-INTÉRIORITÉ RESPONSABLE: UNE OUVERTURE SUR LA RICHESSE DU MONDE.
[ EN ] I define it as our ability to consciously connect with our essence to better communicate with ourselves, others, and the environment around us.
[ FR ] Je la définis comme notre capacité à nous connecter, en conscience, à notre essence pour mieux communiquer avec nous-même, les autres et l’environnement qui nous entourent.
[ EN ] Taking responsibility for one’s being, knowing what one wants and why one wants it, in accord with one’s deep Self and not because mom, dad, my friend, my husband, or political correctness, has decided it for me. To live eco-responsibility fully and responsibly, a deep connection to the Self, to oneself, is essential. It is crucial to be in one’s truth. To look at oneself instead of pointing the finger at others. I like to say that we are all connected and that we are all mirrors of each other. (I know. it’s not always easy to assume).
[ FR ] Prendre la responsabilité de son être, savoir ce que l’on veut et pourquoi on le veut, en accord avec son Moi profond et non parce que maman, papa, mon ami, mon mari ou encore le politiquement correct, l’aura décidé pour moi. Pour vivre, l’éco-responsabilité pleinement et de manière responsable, une connexion profonde au Soi, à soi est essentiel. Il est primordial d’être dans sa vérité. Se regarder Soi en cessant de montrer l’autre du doigt. J’aime dire que nous nous sommes tous liés et que nous sommes tous le miroir, des uns des autres. (Je sais. ce n’est pas toujours facile à assumer).
[ EN ] One day someone told me: The world we observe is that of our inner world, of our chaos or our inner beauty!
[ FR ] Une jour quelqu’un m’a dit : Le monde que l’on observe est celui de notre monde intérieur, de notre chaos ou de notre beauté intérieur !
[ EN ] And, I particularly like the quote from the poet Rumi who said: “Yesterday, I was clever and wanted to change the world. Today, I am wise and am changing myself” [ FR ] Et, j’aime particulièrement la citation du poête Rumi qui dit : “Hier, j’étais intelligent et je voulais changer le monde. Aujourd’hui, je suis sage et je me change moi-même”
[ EN ] A bit of pragmatism… Let’s look at the meaning of each word individually.

[ EN ] “Eco” is a prefix that comes from the Greek “oikos”, meaning “habitat” (including the human body). Today, it is frequently used to form neologisms (that is, a newly created word that is not yet widely used in the French language) related to ecology, the environment, and also to economy. “Interiority” refers to a person’s inner life, their thoughts, emotions, aspirations, health, etc. “Responsible” means being able to answer for one’s actions, to assume them, to be aware of one’s choices, one’s actions, and their impact on the environment.
[ FR ] “Éco” est un préfixe, qui vient du grec “oikos”, qui signifie “habitat” (le corps humain compris). Aujourd’hui, il est fréquemment utilisé pour former des néologismes (c’est-à-dire un mot nouvellement créé qui n’est pas encore largement utilisé dans la langue française) liés à l’écologie, l’environnement et aussi à l’économie . “Intériorité” désigne la vie intérieure d’une personne, ses pensées, ses émotions, ses aspirations, sa santé, etc. “Responsable” signifie être capable de répondre de ses actes, de les assumer, d’être conscient de ses choix, de ses actions et de leurs impacts sur l’environnement.
[ EN ] Responsible eco-interiority could be understood as an attitude, an approach, or a conscious and responsible process that aims to take care of oneself, others, and the environment, by taking into account one’s own interiority and demonstrating responsibility in one’s choices and actions.
[ FR ] L’éco-intériorité responsable pourrait être compris comme une attitude, une approche ou une démarche consciente et responsable qui vise à prendre soin de soi, des autres et de l’environnement, en prenant en compte sa propre intériorité et en faisant preuve de responsabilité dans ses choix et ses actions.
[ EN ] Today, a flow of reports paints a legitimately worrying picture of the current state of the planet. We cannot deny the seriousness of the situation. Like the little hummingbird, let’s have the wisdom to do our part.
